1 Channel 5V Relay Module for Arduino
The 1 Channel 5V Relay Module is designed for switching a single high-powered device using your Arduino or other microcontrollers. The relay is rated for up to 10A per channel at 250VAC or 30VDC, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. The module features two LEDs that indicate the status of the relay, providing clear visual feedback.
The relay module has three terminals broken out to screw pin terminals: common (COM), normally closed (NC), and normally open (NO). On the opposite side, there are three pins for connection: Ground (GND), VCC (5V), and an input pin (IN) to control the relay. The input pin is active low, meaning the relay is activated when the pin is pulled LOW and deactivated when the pin is pulled HIGH.
Relays are electromechanical devices that use an electric current to open or close contacts. This single-channel relay module is more than just a simple relay; it includes components that facilitate easier switching and connection, along with indicators to show the power status and relay activity.
