Arduino Nano-Based Auto Rain Shield for Clothes
This DIY project automates the protection of clothes from rain using an Arduino Nano, a rain sensor, and a servo motor. When rain is detected, the system moves the clothesline under a shelter and returns it to the sun when dry.
Package Contains:
- Arduino Nano - 1
- USB Cable - 1
- Rain Sensor Module - 1
- Servo Motor - 1
- Cable Male to Male - 1
- Cable Male to Female - 1
- Breadboard - 1
Working Principle
- The rain sensor detects moisture and sends a signal to the Arduino.
- The Arduino Nano processes the signal and controls the servo motor.
- The servo motor moves the clothesline under a shelter when it rains and back under the sun when dry.
Implementation
- Connect the rain sensor to the Arduino (VCC, GND, and signal pin to D2).
- Interface the servo motor (signal pin to D9).
- Upload the Arduino sketch from Github link from project page.
- Mount the components on a movable frame for smooth operation.
- Test the system by simulating rain conditions.
